Environmental Activists visit Nygard Cay

Nygard Cay is an environmental tragedy. Watch the video below posted by Save The Bays Bahamas.

The place looks like a dump. It is the fault of Peter Nygard's ridiculous ego (and bribery) that he has managed to get away with this environmental disaster without being punished.

I think it is appalling that Peter Nygard gets away with so many crimes and yet the police in the Bahamas do nothing to stop him. He should be arrested and the politicians / police who have been taking bribes should be arrested and imprisoned.

Lawsuit Filed Against Peter Nygard For $50 Million

Hedge fund billionaire Louis Bacon is suing fashion mogul Peter Nygard for $50m, alleging that Mr Nygard has waged an “obsessive and malicious” smear campaign against him in this country since 2010.

#The allegations are contained in a recently unsealed lawsuit that was filed on behalf of Mr Bacon in New York against Mr Nygard on January 14.

#The complaint is also against his two companies, Nygard International Partnership and Nygard Inc.

#A spokesperson for Mr Nygard, according to the international news magazine Business Insider, has dismissed the lawsuit as “completely without merit”.

#Mr Bacon and Mr Nygard own adjacent properties on Lyford Cay and have been feuding for years.

#The lawsuit accused Mr Nygard of being a “ringleader of a conspiracy to inflict reputational and other harm on Mr Bacon through a variety of unlawful means.”

#Mr Bacon claimed that Mr Nygard has “transmitted, conspired to transmit or aided and abetted the transmission of a variety of false information,” including that he murdered people who died under suspicious circumstances, that he is a white supremacist and member of the Ku Klux Klan, that he smuggled narcotics and fugitives, that he committed arson on Mr Nygard’s residence and that he bribed Bahamian officials.

#Mr Bacon claimed the false information was at times spread by “manipulating genuine news reports produced and aired by legitimate news organisations.”

#That he was charged by prosecutors and “accused of criminal conspiracy” in a “billion dollar scam” that is “one of the biggest Wall Street insider trading cases ever” referring to the insider trading arrest of Rajat Gupta.

#And that he possessed terrorist weaponry (such as illegal speakers) that pose a national security threat to the Bahamas.

#The lawsuit also referred to the recent appearance at the New Year’s Day Junkanoo Parade of a group of people wearing outfits similar to those worn by Ku Klux Klan members.

#“(They paraded) through the streets with placards emblazoned with ‘Bacon is KKK’ and ‘Bacon Go Home.’ Upon information and belief, this anti-Bacon protest was part of the smear campaign and orchestrated by the Nygard defendants and Nygard’s proxies,” the lawsuit claims.

#The lawsuit also referred to another protest in July of last year when some Bahamians marched wearing t-shirts while hoisting posters accusing Mr Bacon of being in the KKK.

#Mr Bacon claimed that statements allegedly made by Mr Nygard have damaged his “professional, philanthropic and personal reputation.”

#In a response to the lawsuit, according to Business Insider, Mr Nygard’s spokesperson said: “This action is simply the latest attempt by Mr Bacon to deflect media attention away from his real agenda, which is to unseat the ruling political party in the Bahamas so that his own candidate can take power and block reconstruction of Mr Nygard’s residence, which is next door to his own estate.

#“It is no secret that Mr Bacon has long expressed interest in buying Mr Nygard’s property and has sought to block his neighbour from rebuilding after a suspicious fire destroyed part of Nygard Cay several years ago. Mr Bacon has falsely and maliciously accused Mr Nygard and Prime Minister Perry Christie of government corruption as part of a judicial review in the Bahamas that is designed to advance his agenda by damaging the administration and further delaying Mr Nygard’s reconstruction, which cannot be permitted as long as the review is underway. In fact, Mr Bacon has falsified evidence of corruption,” the magazine claimed.

Peter Nygard up to his old tricks again...

BACKGROUND INFO: Peter Nygard is a billionaire fashion designer who lives in the Bahamas who has a notorious reputation (from a variety of sources) for drunken lechery and has also been implicated in rape, harassment, conspiracy, human trafficking, human rights abuses, unlawful confinement and essentially "slavery". (Sources include various human rights groups, reporters, the CBC, the Jordanian government, witnesses... so many I cannot list them all.) Peter Nygard is basically what happens when you someone is too rich for their own good and has become evil and corrupt.

Years ago I used to live in the Bahamas... so it just so happens that I know where Peter Nygard lives, Nygard Cay.

And something fishy is going on at Nygard Cay... and the property next to it.

According to BusinessInsider.com... Peter Nygard's neighbour, Louis Bacon, is now trying to sell his $35 million vacation home next to Nygard Cay, because he has been feuding with Peter Nygard.

And the feud is apparently pretty serious, as is the accusations going back and forth.

For example...

Louis Bacon had 4 "military grade" speakers on his property in July 2010, likely to be used to blast loud annoying music at his neighbour, in an effort to annoy Peter Nygard.

Peter Nygard meanwhile claims that Bacon tried to "destroy Nygard's reputation by attempting to hire a young girl to say she was raped on his property," according to the Toronto Sun. Which would be nothing new, since there is also the CBC documentary "Larger Than Life", in which a young girl was mentioned having been sexually assaulted / intimidated by Peter Nygard.

In May of 2010, Bahamian police discovered the Louise Moore's house manager dead, naked, body in the home's hot tub. Louise Moore wasn't in the Bahamas at the time, and security on his estate isn't that tight (whereas Nygard Cay is like a Bond villain's lair). Conspiracy theorists might wonder if Peter Nygard is somehow connected to the death of Louise Moore's house manager.

Peter Nygard is now suing Bacon for allegedly trying to ruin his reputation. This is nothing new either. Peter Nygard likely sues 20+ people per year, usually for trying to ruin his reputation. (Which begs the question, how bad is Peter Nygard's reputation if he is constantly fighting to silence his enemies?)

Meanwhile two of Peter Nygard's former employees have been arrested for failing to pay back $189,000 USD owed to 5 investors in a civil fraud case... which oddly enough were employees who had been held unlawfully against their will on Peter Nygard's estate years ago and made a daring escape to get out of there. Peter Nygard alleges they stole documents from him.

So yeah, definitely lots of fishy things going on at Nygard Cay.

I should note, based on my experience, and my parents' experience, of living in the Bahamas that the police there are idiots, corrupt and/or absolutely useless. There might be a few good cops in the bunch, but they're drowned out by the sheer amount of corruption.

So if Peter Nygard is doing anything illegal he isn't going to get caught very easily. He rarely visits overseas, and when he does he sub-contracts out any work he needs done.

ie. In Jordan Peter Nygard hired several businessmen to run a pants factory. The factory then imported women from India and Pakistan using human trafficking, stole their ID/passports, and then forced them to make pants night and day, beating them if they failed to meet assigned quotas. One woman was so tired after working multiple shifts that she stumbled and was killed by a truck.

But that isn't Peter Nygard's fault. He only hired the slavedrivers to run the factory and make pants. He doesn't care how they get the job done. In my book that makes Peter Nygard a de facto slaveowner, effectively a slaveowner by proxy.

Vancouver Island, Save the Whales

I am going to San Francisco in a couple days, so I need to enjoy what little time I have left in Canada.

And thus I am going over to Vancouver Island to have a look-see. Maybe see some whales on the way...

Which brings me to my topic of discussion...

Whale Hunting...

You see there are some countries out there (mostly Japan) which continues to hunt whales despite widespread condemnation by other countries and most of the human race. It doesn't seem to matter to whale hunters that they're hunting whales (and dolphins) to near extinction. They only care about money.

And environmentalists, god bless them, are such a bunch of hippie peaceniks they go out there and try to stop the Japanese, but they do it in a non-violent way.

Which is to say, they do diddly squat.

Even the popular TV show "South Park" makes fun of this phenomenon... in the episode known as "Whale Whores".



But you see South Park has a point... maybe its time the "Protect the Whales" crowd became violent... at least insofar as to sinking whaling ships, or perhaps stealing whaling ships via piracy. If they have to break a few fingers along the way, so be it.

My point is that these environmentalists aren't radical enough. They're non violent protesters against the slaughter of whales, and basically end up being spectators of it... and yet they stand there and DO NOTHING.

So if people really want to "Save the Whales" then they could start by sinking a few whaling ships. Send a message to whalers that 98% of the world isn't going to put up with whale hunting, and that some of us actually have the guts to fight back.
